Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC) is a 78-hectare (190-acre) Natural Resource Conservation in Lekki, Lagos State. It was established in 1990 to serve as biodiversity conservation icon and environment education centre. The facility was built by the Chevron Corporation for the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), as a reserved sanctuary for the rich flora and fauna of the Lekki Peninsula. The company has since provided annual funding for the management of the center.
The LCC is one of the most recommended places for family picnic. With many fun thing, places and animals to play with, the center features a lot of amazing sights.
- The Longest Walkway Canopy in Africa, which was constructed by 13 Nigerians and supervised by two Canadians, the 401m Canopy walkway launched in 2015 is not a climb for the timid. The climb of the bridge is sure to bring out the other side of you especially for ladies.
- The Nature Park which shows all kinds of animals from Monkeys, to the beautiful Peacock, crocodiles, snakes and other wildlife, you’ll see all of these at this reservation spot.
- The Big Chess Game, which after an enthralling climb of the Canopy walkway, you can play Chess and other games. The chessboard is designed on a floor with 16 big pieces.
